Getting Start
To design a new chart, first you need register a account by accessing
Sign Up webpage, it's free, then visit
Manage
Charts page, and click New Chart button in tool bar to design a new chart.
DIY Chart is a sophisticated and customizable tool yet it can be used in an extremely simple and powerful way.
Comprehensive charts can be created by following five easy steps:
1. Choose a Template
DIY Chart includes a wealth of professionally designed Templates ready to be applied to your data. A Template includes
everything from the series style to the kind of animation your chart will use. In fact, it includes everything, except
the data itself. Scroll templates untill you find a template suitable to your needs and click it. You'll notice that
DIY Chart immediately previewing the resulting chart in the Preview area in the main window.
2. Edit Source Data
Switch to Source Data tab, you have three methods to edit data for chart. The first, edit data in the data table by modiftying,
inserting, deleting coloumns or rows. The second, click Quick Edit Data button in tool bar to
show edit box, you can
edit data freely by modiftying, inserting, deleting coloumns or rows, notice you should remain the format of data such
as comma or quotation marks. The third, you can click Import Data button in tool bar to
show import file box, select
a TXT or CSV to import data, notice the format of TXT or CSV is the same as Quick Edit Data. In any time, you can click
Update Preview button to preview chart
3. Set Parameter
Switch to Parameter tab, you may set the parameters of charts such as chart title, color, legend, label, etc. In any
time, you can click Update Preview button to preview chart, you can also click Save Chart button to save the chart.
4. Input Description
Switch to Description tab, you may input additional message for the chart such as chart name, chart description
5. Publish Chart
Switch to Publish tab, the chart is now ready to be published to one of the supported ways such as local image , remote
image link, etc. . Before publish , you'd better click Save Chart button to save the chart.
